There's probably a better way to word this question...
I would really like to skydive. Everyone I've talked to who has gone skydiving said that it's an awesome experience. I think I would enjoy the experience, but I don't have the nerves to actually skydive. What if the parachute doesn't open? What if my parachute collides with someone else's parachute and gets tangled? See, it's too risky.
I bet that I will never be a gentleman gardener, even though that is one of my fantasies for old age. George Harrison was a master gardener on his estate. I have a hard time remembering to water the few plants in our apartment!

Skydiving would be fun. We should go sometime!
The one thing I would like to do but probably never would do is quit my job to become a full time musician. I'm just too adicted to food and shelter to take the jump.

I would like to quit my job and become a full-time writer of poetry and fiction. It's so difficult to break into the market, though, it probably will never surface. Another dream of mine is to become a songwriter and hear my songs performed by country or rock artists. Ahh, what fragile things, dreams....

I would like to live my life untethered from my insulin pump.
I'm going to get on my soapbox for a minute - SORRY. The NIH awards more money to HIV/AIDS research (as an example) which affects approximately 1,039,000--1,185,000 (2003 numbers from the MMWR) persons in the United States compared to Diabetes which affects 7% of the US population (and growing) or more than 20 million people. With better funding decision-making for research, I'm SURE that there could be a cure, but we don't spend our medical research dollars based on evidence, it is spent based on politics, Hollywood celebrity causes and media attention.
